  Rivers NLC chairman   Governor Fubara  Alex Agwanwor  The Rivers state council of Nigeria labour Congress has expressed gratitude to governor Similaiyi Fubara over the payment of Christmas bonus to  civil servants and pensioners in the state  This was contained in a statement signed by the chairman, Nigeria labour Congress in Rivers state , Alex Agwanwor. The statement praised governor Similaiyi Fubara for making the welfare of  civil servants as a top priority in his administration, adding that the Christmas gift given to me will remain memorable with their loved ones.   New executives of GOLREN . The Gokana League of Registered Engineers (GOLREN) has appointed a new set of leaders to pilot the affairs of the association following its general meeting held on December 27, 2025, in Deken, Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State. The well-attended meeting brought together professional engineers of Gokana origin across various engineering disciplines, all duly registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). At the end of the meeting, the following officers were appointed to lead the association: Engr. Tombari Kiabon as President; Engr. Batombari Justice Girigiri as Secretary; Engr.
