Gokana Unity forum Blast MOSOP , demands for the remains of Ogoni four












 


.Three decades after the gruesome murder of the Ogoni four , a group known as Gokana Unity forum are now calling the release of their remains for a proper burial 


The Secretary of Gokana Unity Forum DR Chris Barigbon  made the call at an event organized to mark the remembrance of the Ogoni four martyrs 



DR Chris Barigbon  took a swipe at successive leadership of MOSOP for failing to adhere to terms of reconciliation at the oputa panel where it was agreed that the remains of Ogoni four be released for proper burial



He accused the organization over their insincerity to work towards genuine reconciliation between the families of Ogoni nine and Ogoni four, adding that the Gokana Unity forum will not rest on their oars until the remains of the four are recovered 



He also advised the leadership of MOSOP  to tender an unresolved apology  to the families of Ogoni four over the gruesome murder of the four prominent Ogoni leaders who were the shining lights of Ogoni








 




On his part,  son of  one of the slain Ogoni Martyrs ,  and former Secretary to the Rivers state government Kenneth Kobani   called on MOSOP to abide by the resolution reached at the oputa panel  by releasing the remains of Ogoni four for burial 



Honourable Kenneth Kobani  , a one time minister of commerce and commissioner for finance in Rivers  state however blasted successive leadership of MOSOP after barrister Ledum Mitee for reneging at the agreement reached at the oputa panel in the  year 2000.


Honourable Kenneth Kobani said the altitude of MOSOP members shows that they are not willing to ensure there is reconciliation in Ogoni.






Barry Global news  reports that members of the Gokana Unity forum in  company of Kenneth Kobani made a procession from the station bus stop in Bodo community to the homes of Two of the four Albert Baddey and  Edward kobani
