Former Rivers governor praises Chief Okafor over Golf Sponsor Ship

Former governor of Rivers state Sir Celestine Omehia has showered praises on the Chief executive officer of Keves Global limited Chief Ikenna Okafor for  sponsoring the CIO international golf championship in Rivers state 


Sir Celestine Omehia made these remarks while speaking during the flag hoisting of participating countries at the Sixth edition of the CIO international golf championship at the Python international golf club in Porthacourt 



Sir Omehia, who is now the chairman of Rivers state Amateur golf Association said the CIO international golf championship which also include the amateurs apart from the professionals has kept the sport on stream in Rivers state 


The Rivers state golf boss  said the tournament will also help the state golfers to sharpen their skills ahead of future tournaments especially events such as the national sports festival.


According to him"Chief Ikenna Okafor is doing a great job pertaining to the sponsorship of  golf in Rivers state and Nigeria at large 


He has been so helpful to the Rivers state  amateur golf Association by sponsoring several tournaments that has kept the sport on stream

Rivers state has the best  golf courses in Nigeria and this tournament will give more exposure to our golfers in the state "said the former governor of Rivers state


Sir Celestine Omehia who sponsored the governor's cup golf championship during his reign as governor of Rivers state however called on other well meaning individuals in Rivers state to emulate the noble gesture of Chief Ikenna Okafor by sponsoring golf tournaments in the state
