On resumption of play into the second stanza, eagles striker who was torn in the flesh of the Cheetahs got his hat trick with a looping header that hit the bar to struck the net off a well taken free kick from Moses Simon barely six minutes into the second half , sparking off wide jubilation and celebration among the home fans .

However, on the stroke of 90 minutes, eagles winger Moses Simon iniated an incursion into the Cheetahs eighteen yard box and delivered a cross and substitute Frank Oyeka completed the demolition of the Gernot Rohr tutored side when he volleyed home to seal Nigeria spot in the world cup qualifying play offs.
