Ordinance Emeji, A case study for political loyalty and an ally to Amaechi.

Amaechi.                         Emeji

Today marks the the 18th year when we remember the event that birthed the name , The man who slept in the church in respect of the landmark, epochal and historical event of Nigeria politics which happened in the 25th October, 2007 when the Supreme court restoration of Amaechi’s MANADATE to govern Rivers State was stamped. He slept at the Christ Embassy Church, Kubwa in Abuja, due to the challenges of accommodation during the legal tussle. At some point, he was labeled a wanderer and another time, a lunatic by critics for tirelessly circulating Amaechi’s campaign posters even after be was ousted.

Looking back to this historic date in history, we salute the resilience, doggedness, forthrightness, equanimity, humility and loyalty which Hon. Ordinance Emeji displayed and is still displaying without fuss in support of the Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Ameachi's political activities.  Ordinance, was at every spot seen during the court proceeding which heralded the restoration of Rotimi Ameachi's governorship mandate. He was never absent in any sitting and soon became the “court usher” who ensured Ameachi's supporters sat in strategic positions for their personal comfort and security.

It should be recalled that on this day, Hon Ordinance Ordinakachi Emeji made an unsung history when he undertook the onerous task of conveying the certified and true copy of the judgement to Port Harcourt from Abuja, to hand over to Amaechi’s legal team in continuation of his Governorship Tribunal cases; others still basked in the euphoria of victory and many more, lobbying and jostling for juicy political portfolios in the Amaechi Government.

What more can we call or refer to this loyalty to be , even in the face of no resources, or political strength. Hon Ordinance, represents a case study for political loyalty and how it must be addressed especially in our contemporary era when loyalty is only sustainable based on the wealth and deepness of pocket of who receives the loyalty.

Thank you Hon. Ordinance, for saving the face of Rivers democracy and laying foundation for the government of the people which indeed rebuilt our state into a world admiration among others.
