GOKANA SECURITY: FA SET TO PLAY POLICE IN NOVELTY MATCH.

In support of the peace efforts by the Executive Chairman of Gokana LGA, Chief  Confidence Dekor and consolidate on the existing Peace in Gokana Kingdom, the Board of the Gokana Football Council today 9th of October 2025 paid a courtesy visit on the DPO of Gokana in his office at Kpor on ways to  achieve sustainable peace the Kingdom.


Speaking while receiving the  Gokana FA Board  members led by Comrade  Martins Giadom in her office at Kpor , the DPO in charge of the Area Mrs Ikwo Kelvin pledged the readiness of the command in providing  the necessary support to lawful programs and activities of the Gokana people especially the  Youths and football activities in the area


Earlier, chairman of the Gokana Football Council, Comrade Martins Giadom who doubles as Chairman of Chairmen of the 23 FA Football Councils in the Rivers  State FA Board has commended the cordial working relationship between the Kpor Police division and Gokana people.


The Gokana FA chairman, however informed the Gokana DPO that the FA was in her office to introduce members of the the Board and  it's  end of year  activities to the command ahead of the Festive season of 2025.


On the  Forthcoming  Football  match  between the FA and the  Command , captain of the Police Command team in Gokana Mr. James assured his team will  commence intensive  training ahead of time for the novelty match coming up next month  between  the FA and  the Police in Gokana
