Tennis : Porthacourt to host coaching business conferences
Tennis coaches in Porthacourt and other parts of Rivers state will have the opportunity to know how to utilize the business aspect of tennis and make coaching more profitable
This followed plans by a sports promoting and fitness company , LAJsports to organize the first ever tennis coaches business conferences in the garden city of Porthacourt.
The Chief executive officer of LAJ sports , Lookman Ajibose who made this known in a press statement said the event is being organized in partnership with the Police tennis club.
The ITF and PTR certified coach said the program will offer tennis coaches the knowledge on how to secure sponsorship deals , branding, client management as well as pricing and academy growth.
Lookman Ajibose who is the secretary of Police tennis club in Porthacourt noted that Nigeria tennis coaches are among the hardworking professionals in sport but struggle to earn a sustainable income.
He added that the conference will equip coaches with business tools they need to charge better and grow professionally, adding that the salient aim and objective of the conference is to ensure that passion to coach also translates into profit and long term sustainability.
According to him, the conference will feature expert workshop, keynote adresses and interactive panel discussion with over hundred coaches expected to participate in the conference.
Lookman Ajibose who is also a fitness expert further called on companies and corporate organizations to bankroll the event as it will offer them the opportunity to gain marketability and visibility.
He said interesting participants should pay the sum of twenty thousand naira as entry fee, disclosing that the conference will commence on the 17th of October and end on 18th , at the Police tennis club in Porthacourt..
