Rwanda , South Africa :a make or mar world cup qualifiers ,for Eagles

Super eagles talismanic striker Victor Oshimen in action for Nigeria

The Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state otherwise called the next of champions will be the cynosure of all eyes this weekend when the Super eagles play host to Rwanda in a crucial world cup qualifying match

The match is a make or mar encounter for the Eric Chelle tutored side as anything short of victory will spell doom for Nigeria and automatically end their dream of qualifying for the 2026 world cup.

Trailing behind Group leaders South African with the difference  of six points, it behoves on the Eagles to  win all Remaining four games left on the card and avoid dropping points

However, in view of the talented and quality players abound in the  Super eagles squad  especially in the attack, pundits expects the three times African champions to win Rwanda convincingly and cart  home the three points and boost their bid of qualifying for the global soccer mundial.

Frankly speaking, the Super eagles are going to be under pressure and eager to win in the light of the precarious position they find themselves and if the players leave their rear  open inquest of goals , the Amavubi of Rwanda might capitalize on that and take the eagles in the encounter

You would recall that Nigeria beat Reanda 2-0 in the first leg in Kigali courtesy of a brace from 2023 African player of the year Victor Oshimen and the Reanda side will no doubt be coming for a revenge

Considering the fact that the stakes are high and   the eagles defenders led by captain William Troost Ekong to form a rock solid wall at the back and be very vigilant and wade off all the attacking forays initiated by Rwanda.

With the imperious and blistering form of Victor Oshimen this season in the colours of Galatasaray, Nigeria should beat Rwanda with ease if he gets constant assists from the midfielders and his strike partners  in the attack

Pairing Oshimen and Cryril Dressers in the attack will pose a serious  threat to the Rwanda s defense as both strikers are hungry for goals.

The formation and playing philosophy of coach Eric Chelle will also be a deciding factor of how the eagles will fare in the encounter.

Moreso , the Malian tactician must select the best legs for the match and ensure the players play with their heart out  in order to get the desired results.

The Super eagles camp opens today at Uyo Akwa Ibom state and Nigerian football fans expect Coach Eric Chelle to field a formidable team that will give them the desired results

A win for the eagles will put the players in shape and better state of mind ahead of another crucial world cup qualifying tie against South Africa three days later in Bloemfontein.
